Eat Your Cruciferous Vegetables
Increase your consumption of cruciferous vegetables–aim for at least 3 servings per week, if not more. This includes broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, bok choy, water cress etc. They have phenomenal cancer-fighting properties especially for estrogen-sensitive cancers of the breast and prostate. Consuming them raw, or slightly cooked (steaming) is the best and delivers the highest concentrations of natural indole-3 carbinole (the active ingredient). I love to steam my broccoli with a couple cloves of garlic, a little salt and drizzle olive oil when they are finished.
