Butternut Squash Chai Smoothie Bowl

When your tastebuds demand fall flavors, yet the temperature outside screams summer…what do you do? Blend up this seasonal deliciousness of frozen butternut squash with all the fall spices and create the most amazing fall smoothie bowl you have ever made. Top it with all your favorite toppings from pepitas, shredded coconut, pomegranate, and you will meet all the food needs you might possibly have right now. SO GOOD.

Butternut Squash Chai Smoothie Bowl

Serves 1


  • 1½ cups frozen butternut squash chunks
  • ½ banana, optional
  • ½ cup coconut milk
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • 2 Medjool dates, pitted
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp finely chopped fresh ginger
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground cardamom
  • pinch ground nutmeg
  • pinch ground cloves
  • pinch freshly ground black pepper
  • pumpkin seeds, toasted coconut ribbons, pomegranate seeds and walnuts, for garnish


  1. 01. In a blender add butternut squash, banana (if using), coconut milk, water, dates, vanilla extract, ginger and all the spices. Blend until smooth.
  2. 02. Transfer to a bowl and garnish with pumpkin seeds, coconut, pomegranate seeds and walnuts.

Tip: Feel free to garnish your smoothie bowl with whatever nuts, seeds and fruit you have on hand.
