When the weather finally start to warm out here in the “wet” coast, I love turning my smoothies into smoothie bowls. The frosty goodness feels like such a decadent treat, but yet when they are made with the best of ingredients are completely nourishing and so good for you. Bowls are a great way to squeeze in even more nutrition as topping them with a variety of nuts and seeds, nut butters granola, yogurt, fresh fruit etc, makes every bite better than the next.

Get creative, have fun, and let your taste buds guide your bowl to something that will make you press repeat each day!

Ingredients –

Smoothie Bowl Base

  • 1 cup almond milk, unsweetened
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries
  • 1 tbsp coconut yogurt
  • Ice cubes (if you want a thicker consistency)

Topping Ideas

  • cup fresh blueberries
  • 1/4 cup fresh raspberries
  • a few blackberries
  • 2 tbsp granola of your choice
  • 1 tsp pumpkin seeds


Directions –

  1. 01. Add the almond milk, frozen banana, frozen berries, and coconut yogurt in a high speed blender. Blend for about a minute until thick and creamy.
  2. 02. Pour your smoothie base in a smoothie bowl and top off as you like. Serve right away.
