Supplement Feature: Peppermint Oil

I don’t leave home without it!🤩 Enteric coated peppermint oil is truly one of the greatest and most effective natural remedies for gas and bloating (you will notice a difference in about 20 min)! 🌿 There are so many contributing factors to GI disturbances but I find especially when traveling and I’m exposed to new and different bacteria, food, air, water etc, my gut can really feel off which is not enjoyable. 🙃

When using peppermint oil to help relieve intestinal discomfort look for “enteric” coated which means within the intestine. These soft gels are made to open within an alkaline environment particularly the upper small intestine, to help relieve gas and bloating. If it doesn’t reach the intestine it’s not going to be effective so delivering peppermint oil to the right spot is key!

If you are burping peppermint it could be a sign that you need to take before you eat, with food or that perhaps your stomach is not as acidic as it should be (which is a big problem. You need an acidic stomach- this is a whole other post. Haha.)

Benefits of Enteric Coated Peppermint Oil

  1. 01. Relaxes intestinal muscles
  2. 02. Promotes the elimination of excess gas
  3. 03. Is 100 times more effective than caprylic acid as a natural antifungal agent
  4. 04. Helps to speed up the elimination of systemic candida yeast
  5. 05. Inhibits the hyper contractility of intestinal smooth muscle, relieving the irritable bowel, esophageal spasm and intestinal colic.

This product is what I would consider a “medicine cabinet” product.
