When all the holiday flavors are rolled up into one delicious bite! Yep, say hello to what will soon become your favorite healthy snack, go-to foodie gift (move over granola), and your get your own breakfast kind of food! All these ingredients are SO good for you; the combination of the walnuts, pecans and cacao powder are serious brain food and help increase your feel-good hormones. And of course it combines all the festive flavors of the season which also happen to be a delicious combination of warming, grounding and feel-good spice.

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cup pitted dates – see note 
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1 cup pecans 
  • 1 cup unsweetened shredded coconut 
  • ¼ cup almond milk 
  • 1 tablespoon cacao powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon 
  • ½ teaspoon cardamom 
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon ginger powder 
  • ¼ teaspoons cloves 
  • Pinch of sea salt 

Directions

  1. 01. Place walnuts and pecans in a food processor and pulse until broken into small pieces.
  2. 02. Add the rest of the ingredients and pulse until the mixture comes together and forms a dough. If you need more liquid for the mixture comes together you may add a tablespoon of water at a time.
  3. 03. Roll the dough into balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Store in a glass airtight container in the fridge.

Note: if your dates are hard, make sure to soak them in hot water for at least 5 minutes to soften before using them.
